Păreri despre Kané - New Romanian Cuisine
Mâncarea este corectă, însă nu se ridică la nivelul de excelență pe care locația și-l propune. Din păcate, serviciul a fost sub așteptări, lipsit de coerență și atenție la detalii, ceea ce a afectat experiența per ansamblu.
All in all – poor service. Our waiter was drunk, which ruined our experience at KANE. In addition, we had ordered a wine pairing, which never arrived at the right time or with the correct dishes. It felt as though no one had control over what was going on, which came across as chaotic to us. It is entirely possible that New Year’s Eve is different from a regular evening at KANÉ, but this was truly not good, and we would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Being served the final course around 2 a.m. is also not acceptable. We hope you do better next New Year’s Eve, because this was a very disappointing experience.
That said, the sommelier did an excellent job and was the one who truly saved our evening — thank you for that!
We came for fine dining and got an endurance test. Seated around 8:00–8:15 pm, first dish at 10:00 pm — a full two hours — and only after we chased the staff for updates.
After that, everything dragged: huge gaps between courses, too few waiters, and the main course landing at 00:39. The most surreal part was the attitude: while guests were yawning, scrolling, and wondering if dessert existed , the kitchen team came out to celebrate New Year like a group of friends, making “fireworks” sounds with their mouth and enjoying the moment — which really highlighted how little urgency there was about a dining room in obvious trouble. Yes, it was New Year’s and they apologized multiple times, but being busy doesn’t excuse looking unbothered while service collapses.
And then there were the dish “explanations,” which felt like accidental stand-up comedy. Instead of a clear description, we got lines like “these are oysters… not sure what’s inside,” “it’s weird but it’s my favorite,” or simply “it’s good.” I honestly didn’t know how not to laugh — not because it was charming, but because it was so awkwardly out of place for a restaurant aiming at fine dining.
One star: the only genuinely good part was the wine pairing (thankfully I chose it), and the growing amount of alcohol probably helped us laugh through what was otherwise the worst possible way to “end the year in style” — unless you treat it as comedy.
I’m not the type to leave reviews — I usually avoid them — but this time I genuinely feel obliged to write one for the next guests, especially anyone expecting a high-end experience (even during holidays or special events). We considered letting it go, but at this price point it wouldn’t be fair to stay silent.
Felul principal nu a fost echilibrat (a lipsit garnitura.
Desertul a fost gelatinos.
Suc socata din comerț si nu facut in house.
Amazing food, great service. Deffo deserves a Michelin star!
Great service and food; we had an amazing time. Please do yourself a favour and let yourself be guided by the advice of the waiters
